The Himachal Pradesh State Dental Council (HPSDC) is the statutory body created as per the provision of section 21 of the Dentists Act, 1948
The state of Himachal Pradesh has been initiating several health initiatives to improve the health of its people consistent with the national objective of universal health coverage. Oral health is an important component of overall health and lack of awareness and accessibility are major factors that make people neglect oral health. The government is seized of this problem and has been associating with dental institutions in the state to create awareness and initiate preventive programmes.
There are quite a few dental colleges in the state and dental professionals have been taking care of oral health at the district hospitals. Additionally, jointly with Himachal Pradesh State Dental Council, the State Health Ministry has been attempting to improve the deployment of dental healthcare service providers on the basis of the system developed by the Indian Dental Association to correct the dentist population ratio for better delivery of services.

The registrations for Himachal Pradesh State Dental Council are now available online.
The registration application form should be accompanied with Original and Xerox attested copies of Matriculation certificate ( DOB),Final Year Mark Sheet,Internship Completion Certificate , BDS Degree, Himachali Bonified Certificate ,Proof of address and, Four Passport Size Colour Photographs. Affidavit if provisional Degree issued . Registration fee of Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) by Cash .Registration application forms are available in the office of Council and also on Council’s website www.hpsdc.org.in at download section. NOTE: Person has to come personally to the office for Fresh Registration. NOTE: Dental Personals who have completed their internship from different college are requested to produced original DCI NOC for their intership during fresh registration.
The registration application form for Dental Mechanics and Dental Hygienits should be accompanied with Original and Xerox attested copies of Matriculation certificate ( DOB),First and Final Year Mark Sheet,Diploma of Dental Mechanic/ Dental Hygienist , Himachali Bonified Certificate , Proof of address and, Four Passport Size Colour Photographs. . Registration fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees One five hundred Only) by Cash .Registration application forms are available in the office of Council and also on Council’s website www.hpsdc.org.in at download section. NOTE:Person has to come personally to the office for Fresh Registration.
The names of Dentist, who fail to renew their registration between 1st January to 31st March (offline) and 1st January to 28th March (online) every year shall stand removed . However the names of such Dental Practitioners can be re-entered in the register, if he/she pays prescribe renewal fees, as provided in the Dentists Act. Renewal of Registration available online and offline. in online renewal users login with his given user ID and Password and then pay prescribe fee by using Internet Banking/ Credit Card/Debit Card. Online payment Gateway charges are added in fees. Offline renewal done at office at office hours and office working days.
